Product description
TWO YEARS ON A BIKE - FROM VANCOUVER TO PATAGONIA
A bike is all you need to join this epic adventure, spanning continents and years, that will awaken your thirst for exploration.
Could you live permanently on the road? When all your belongings fit in a few bags, your office is a roadside diner, and your home is a meandering route from Canada to the southern tip of Argentina?
In Two Years on a Bike, Martijn Doolaard puts it to the test. Strapping the necessities onto his bicycle, he ventures into desolate wastelands and sojourns in vast cities, exploring what it means to be at home in the world while embracing a life of minimalism and long-term travel.
Along the winding roads of California’s coasts, the impenetrable jungles of Mexico, the ever-higher passes of the Andes Mountains, and the severe alpine forests of Patagonia, Doolaard eschews comfort and convention for the sake of documenting life on one of the world’s most breathtaking—and notorious—routes.

from 86 reviewsThe layout is perfect and the colour is great too
My favourite task planner! Would definitely recommend if you need a little assistance in getting organised.
Love this one it’s such a fine point that I use it for sketching!
Just so smooth ! Love it
Love this organiser I have the 2024 one and it’s so helpful to organise my day !!
Can’t wait to use it!
I look forward to my annual purchase of a new diary and this one did not disappoint! I love the cool front cover and really appreciate all the space and notes pages inside
It’s really handy for clipping to any book or journal, I don’t have to hunt around for a pen
Love the layout and cover.
Love the colour, the paper quality, but most of all the design! It’s almost exactly what I’ve created for myself in my journal which will save me so much time next year .. can’t wait to start using it!
my go to every year!
Have used these diaries for several years and love them. Prompt delivery and packaged nicely.
Unique products and amazing online service!
Following a delivery issue, the staff at Papersmiths were very helpful in resolving the issue and kept me updated throughout.
Love the product which is a gift for a friend and will definitely purchase from these guys again.
Honestly I have been looking for a hardbound fabric notebook that is lined with 6mm ruling for a long time so I was ecstatic when I found this. The pages lay flat and the notebook is really durable and a pleasure to use.
There is slight bleed through when using larger nib size fountain pens but using a fine nib there is no problem. I only wished the paper was like an off white/cream colour rather than the bright white paper colour but that's just my preference.
Cartridges for my much-loved Kaweco Sport fountain pen in black and orange (my favourite of the Kaweco ink colours) arrived very quickly, as always, thank you!
After a birthday trip to Brighton my wife and I stumbled upon paoersmiths. They are and continue to be her preferred stationery of choice. Great colours, finishes and writes. Whenever she starts a new project it'll be a new book and a new pen. Anything that pleases my wife this much deserves a review.
