This week it's all systems go with the arrival of Kyle's brother, Ross, a whole lot of oak, copper nails and custom made furniture. A lot of craftsmanship is going on in the shop to make and assemble the portable shelving units, seating and tables. Pete Mackay, jack of all trades and of doing them very well indeed, has been here installing our lighting and radiators and we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! It's just as well with winter's dark days on their way. Our glazed terracotta pendants are here too, and they'll be shining down on our huge stationery table, highlighting the brass scissors and sharpeners.
Our stock is patiently awaiting completion of the shop and furniture, while we're impatiently waiting to get our hands on the place and start with the finishing touches.
