Stone Paper A5 Notebook - Black

Why does paper need to be made out of trees? Why can't journals be waterproof? Why are we still using paper-making practices that were cutting edge in the 16th century? These are the three questions that Karst asked themselves when coming up with the design for their treeless notebook.

So, if they're not using trees, what are they using? The answer is stone.

Karst's tree-free A5 hardcover notebook is made from a high quality, sustainable and recyclable stone paper.

The paper has a superhydrophobic coating which makes it waterproof and tear-resistant. It's so smooth it's hard to describe. Thanks there being no grain direction, it's completely friction-free. And your ink will never bleed through.

The stone paper holds a Crade to Cradle Silver Certification; it's 100% recyclable. Because Karst paper is made without cutting, transporting or pulping trees, they also save on energy and water.
