Sales Assistant Roles

Happiness has many forms and new stationery is one of them. You're on our website right now so chances are you probably already know a bit about us. If you're here for the job, here's what you need to know.

We are recruiting for some extra pairs of hands in our Brighton store from now until early-mid January.

The roles available are part time or full time (working between 20 and 37.5 hours per week over 2-5 days) and you'll need to be able to work weekdays, weekends and our key Christmas dates: 19th-23rd Dec. Lots of flexibility will put you in good stead for getting this role.

We’re a bunch of very friendly, knowledgeable, passionate people, all with an outside interest in creation of some kind, from knitting to illustration to weaving. Everyone brings great chat to the shop floor because they’re genuinely excited about creativity and probably a little bit obsessed with stationery. If this sounds like you then join our club.

So what are we looking for? We like working with people who are efficient and like to get things done to a high standard. People who will bring passion for our products, confidence, initiative and positivity to the store. If you have beautiful handwriting that's a bonus - we're looking for someone who can also turn their hand (sorry) to writing our thank you notes.

A day in the shop involves all sorts. This could include chatting to customers, sharing product knowledge, demonstrating products, selling products, stock checking, processing deliveries of stationery (the best bit), restocking, cleaning, tidying, visual merchandising, answering the phone, wrapping orders, handwriting notes, tracking deliveries. It's varied, fast paced and fun!

If this sounds like your kind of role, let us know by sending in your CV and covering letter. Please specify the store you wish to apply to in the email. Write to: Sidonie Warren,

Pay is £8.72 per hour and you get a nice staff discount

Thinking about COVID-19? We're taking the pandemic very seriously and team safety comes first. We have glass barriers, all staff and customers wear masks, hand sanitiser is used on entry, extra cleaning routines are in place, social distancing and limits on the number of people in store are set up, too.
